Hastings High School is located in a historic river town located 20 miles southeast of the Twin Cities of St. Paul and Minneapolis. HHS traditionally enrolls over 1300 students in grades 9-12. Our school boundaries include resident students from five cities and nine townships. The current high school was built in 2001, and is located on a 100-acre campus.
HHS offers diverse sports opportunities that develop character and community. We maintain a commitment to six core values: integrity, work ethic, sportsmanship, the whole person, multi-sport athletes, and fun. We achieve a winning legacy according to this collective definition of success: develop lifelong relationships and Raiders values, grow towards performance objectives, and contribute positively to the Hastings community.
HHS is one of the longest-tenured members of the Minnesota State High School League. We offer 29 independent varsity sports. As a cooperative member of Dakota United, HHS also sponsors multiple adapted athletics programs. Since 1980, the “Raiders” have participated in three athletic conferences: the St. Paul Suburban (1980-2001), Suburban East (2001-2014), and Metro East (2015-Present).
HHS has a proud athletic tradition. Since 1933 the Raiders have claimed 14 MSHSL state championship teams and 33 individual state championships, over 170 team conference championships and over 130 team section championships. The Dakota United “Hawks” have also won ten 10 MSHSL adapted team state championships.
